Stay Wild: The Faith of Endurance

Aug 9, 2026    Chad Wilson

What does it look like to move from simply receiving God's mercy to actually releasing it into the world around us? That is the question at the heart of this final week in our series through the book of James. Drawing from James chapter 5, we explore the full arc of what James calls the sanctification journey, the ongoing process of being shaped from the inside out into the likeness of Christ. The passage opens with a call to patience, using the image of a farmer who plants, waters, and waits through every season, trusting that the harvest is coming. That image challenges us to examine where we are placing our trust when life feels slow, uncertain, or even silent. We are reminded that God's timing is not a delay but a development, and that what feels like waiting is often God being patient with us rather than the other way around. The series wraps up with a vision of faith that is not self-contained but outward-flowing, a faith that endures pressure, grows through prayer, and ultimately overflows into the restoration of others. If we have been sitting with our faith as though it were something to protect and preserve, this message invites us to open our hands and let it move.
